Kingdom Trails To Host The Vermont State Enduro Championship Race //  Sunday May 15th 2016

Shimano, the world’s leader in bicycle components and East Burke Sports, Kingdom Trails’ original bike shop have teamed up with Eastern States Cup (ESC) and Kingdom Trails to present the Victory Hill Enduro.

Pro racers will duke it out for $1600.00 in cash and the top three finishers in amateur classes will enjoy an assortment of goodies along with their ESC medals. First place finishers in each class will be named 2016 VT State Enduro Champions.

The Victory Hill Enduro, set in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, is the second stop of the Eastern States Cup series. Online registration is open on bikereg.com with 175 entry available in Mens and Womens Pro, Amateur and age-group categories including U-14. Onsite registration is cash only.

Camping and pre-riding opens on the afternoon of Friday, May 13th. Course practice is on Saturday with racing on Sunday, May 15th.

This early season event promises to be unique in that it occurs on rarely ridden singletrack on the edge of Kingdom Trails. Riders can expect long timed stages that descend 1-2 miles each.  This alpine setting provides breathtaking views of the White Mountains and plenty of space for parking, product tents, primitive camping, bonfires and racing. Shimano will provide a race support truck and technician. Cabot Cheese, a VT mainstay, has stepped up as a sponsor and cheese will be doled liberally.

Eastern States Cup is the leader in organizing gravity MTB racing in the Northeast, while Kingdom Trails is a world class  developer of modern mountain bike trails and excellent bicycle events. With these two entities teamed up, participants and spectators can look forward to a fantastic weekend of riding and racing in the remote, rural surroundings of Victory, Vermont.

Victory Hill’s twelve miles of singletrack are located on the backside of Umpire Mountain, in the town of Victory.  Victory is 2 miles as the crow flies from East Burke, Vermont and 7 miles away by car. Restaurants, motels and campgrounds with amenities are located closer to KT headquarters in East Burke, Lyndonville,  St. Johnsbury and Concord, VT.
