Here at MTBVT HQ we couldn’t be more proud of our friend and fellow Vermonter Alison Zimmer. In the past few weeks she’s challenged herself to compete with the world’s best in both Enduro and now DH at the legendary Mont St. Anne World Cup. Mont St. Anne is notorious for being insanely high-speed and full of the rocky gnar us East Coast riders love, except racers are reaching speeds over 40mph… Way to represent VT Ali!

WOW, Mont Sainte Anne and my first world cup! Didn’t have my race face/mentality with me yesterday afternoon (my broken helmet may have had a bit to do with that?!) but so damn psyched on the crazy experience, psyched for transforming from being scared of the course, to loving it (well, most of it).
For my rookie (DH) self it was a great way to speed up progression, especially with the Furax taking me to new heights. So stoked on Cycles Xprezo for the plush ride and all the support from Mountain Bike Vermont, Chaz Lyons and the Bike Center, Green Mountain Bikes, The Alchemist, Champlain Valley Apiary, Tretap, Shine Riders Co., Kali Protectives (the helmet may be broken, but the noggin is just fine!).

Thanks to Erik Timmerman for the sweet photos, and all the east coast reps Ryan, Taylor, Becky, Ray keeping things alive and being your fun, youthful selves.. hope some of that rubs off on me. Per my Dan, and Hutchinson United Ride’s Tracey Hannah (the most positive & sweet rider I meet all weekend!) I won the “Mom Division,” and who knows, may have been the first mom to have done a World cup! That’s a cool thought. I am continually inspired by all the amazing riders and wonderful community. My passion has grown, now for some freeriding fun!
