Bust a Move and win Prizes at
Fellowship of the Wheel’s
4th Annual
Singletrack Dance and Fundraiser
Fellowship of the Wheel, Vermont’s largest mountain bike club,
is hosting its annual fundraising dance and raffle at
Burlington’s Echo Center, April 15, from 7PM-midnight.
Fellowship of the Wheel has built and maintains more than 100 miles of singletrack
multi-use trails in seven towns in Chittenden County, Vermont.
The event will raise money to help Fellowship protect those trails and ensure that
they remain open for mountain bikers, runners, walkers and other users.
The Pulse, Boston’s hottest dance band, will bring down the house with a live
show at the event. The Pulse plays a mix of covers and originals with heavy funk, Latin,
Reggae, Soul, Motown and disco influences. Don a “70s funk†or “80s retroâ€
costume and enter the dance contest for a chance towin Thule racks and other prizes.
The Singletrack Dance and Fundraiser will kick off the 2011 mountain biking season
and introduce Fellowship’s newly hired Executive Director, Len Vignola.
Vignola comes to Fellowship with more than 25 years
experience in non-profit management, fundraising, and conservation.
“We’ve done a good job of building trails over the past decade,†said Hans Jenny,
Fellowship’s founder. “Fellowship members enjoy the most accessible and diverse
trails in Vermont. We want to keep it that way. Len will help us take it to the next level.
Now that we’ve got great trails, we need to protect the network as we continue to build it
and make sure that the hard work that has been put in by staff and volunteers pays off.â€
Doors open at 7PM. At 8PM,
Fellowship will raffle off more than $5000 in prizes
(one raffle ticket included with entry, additional tickets available for purchase).
The party is kid-friendly.
