Our dear friends over at the Village Sports Shop are looking for someone that knows the difference between a 855mm down-tube masher pin and a double toothed cable mounted lever majig (I just made that up and officially disqualified myself for the position). If you do know about bike mechanics read this. One of you guys is perfect for this job!
The Village Sport Shop in Lyndonville, VT is seeking an experienced bike technician. Come work in the mountain bike Mecca of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, home to Kingdom Trails. The position comes with the golden opportunity to manage our satellite location at the base of the Burke Bike Park. This location is a retail, rental and repair shop with a fleet of 12 downhill bikes, a service and repair facility and a small retail inventory. The bike park is open weekends and major holidays (US and Canadian) from June-October. Our main store is open 7 days/week. The position requires working a minimum of 4 days/week and weekends/holidays when the bike park is open are a must. Don’t worry, you will have lots of time to ride, we know how important that is! We work on all kinds of bikes including kids’ bikes, clunkers and road bikes, but mountain bikes are what we see most. Experience in overhauling and maintaining hydraulic brake systems and suspension. We do not hide our bike mechanics away from the public, you will be expected to assist with bike and accessory sales, after all, you have the most intimate knowledge of the bikes… The Village Sport Shop is a year round sport shop so tell us about your ski tech experience if you’ve got it. We pay competitive wages and offer health benefits to long-term year round employees.
