Holy stacked lineup!
“Our goal is to elevate Vermont’s status as the heart of mountain biking in the Eastern United States,” says Thibault. “The Green Mountain Showdown is a chance to celebrate our State’s love of cycling and it gives our local talent the opportunity to showcase their skill. It’s going to make for a fantastic show!”
Riders and enthusiasts of all ages are encouraged to gather for an evening of great photos, videos, and spoken word.
This year’s Showdown will also include The Rider’s Choice Awards, a series of awards based on votes submitted by the pedaling public on MTBVT.com and will include such categories as “best bike mechanic,” “best trail network,” “best trail builder” and “best photographer.” Voting is open on MTBVT.com until October 31st.
According to event organizer Ryan Thibault, the Rider’s Choice Awards “allow us to highlight the folks in our community that have pushed the local level of riding excellence.”
