Mountain Bike Vermont presents the third annual Rider’s Choice Awards.
We have it good. It’s true. Vermont is spoiled with some of the most amazing mountain bike trails, shops, networks, and riders in the country. But who’s the best? It’s your call! Nearly 298 of you filled out the survey and let us know who and what tops your lists in the State’s MTB scene. Without further ado, here are our winners:
1) BEST TRAIL NETWORK:
Kingdom Trails
2) TRAIL WITH MOST FLOW:
Florence, Stowe Vermont. Built in 2014 by Hardy Avery (Sustainable Trailworks) under direction of the Stowe Mountain Bike Club.
3) BEST DH MOUNTAIN:
Q Burke Mountain Bike Park
4) GNARLIEST TRAIL:
Upper J-Bar, Q Burke Mountain Bike Park, East Burke Vermont. Built by John Worth, Knight Ide, Kingdom Trails and frineds.
5) BEST BIKING TOWN:
East Burke VT has took the prize by a landslide once again.
6) BEST SHOP FOR RETAIL:
New to the awards, Village Sports Shop in Lyndonville takes home the title!
7) BEST BIKE SHOP FOR SERVICE:
Three years standing…Iride, Stowe, Vermont
8) BEST MECHANIC:
Best Mechanic… filling the massive shoes of Dr. Ron Murray goes to Jared Ogden of Iride
9) BEST TRAIL BUILDERS:
After adding up all the misspellings of Brookes Scatchard’s name Brooke still came out ahead. Brook is the proud owner of Sinuosity trail building service.
10) BEST CHAPTER OF VMBA
Crushing all the competition… once again Fellowship of the Wheel!
11) BEST ORGANIZATION LEADER:
