STOWE B3 FESTIVAL

Join MTBVT at the second annual Stowe B3 (Bikes, Bevs & Beats) Festival. We can tell you first hand that the Stowe Mountain Bike Club and local business mavericks from the likes of Piecasso and Sushi Yoshi have been hard at work planning an awesome time for us riders. From June 26th to June 28th mountain bikers are invited to invade the town of Stowe, ride the trails, sample the local liquids, and be entertained by live music all weekend long! And the most amazing thing… it is all free!

“Wait, what? Free?” You say. Yes! Seriously… all you have to do is show up.

NEW IN 2015 – B3 CRITICAL MASS RIDE

Don’t miss Friday’s kick off party and critical mass ride. The Festival will be taking over Park Street in Stowe Village for the evening and at 6:45 everybody in sight will be gathering behind a reggae DJ broadcasting from a flatbed truck. We’ll be taking over the Mountain Road and riding all the way to Piecasso before heading back down the rec’ path.

If you have never participated in a critical mass you’ll be amazed at the excitement riding on a city street among 100+ other people can bring to a ride!

COME ON THE MTBVT SOCIAL RIDE
PLEASE NOTE THAT PLANS HAVE CHANGED!!!

MTBVT and Iride will be leading a “social ride” on Saturday from 11:00 to 3:00 followed by drinks and a tricycle race!

Starting at 10:00 swing by Sushi Yoshi to grab a Giant Demo bike courtesy of Killington’s Alpine Bike Works / Gian Liv Demo Tour and jump in the shuttle with us!

“Social ride?” You ask.

Our idea of a good ride usually includes a few pitstops, good conversation, and a stashed brew or two. Our ride is geared toward all riders willing to brave intermediate to expert terrain while riding at a beginner to intermediate pace. Not to say you can’t hammer all you want, just be prepared to entertain yourself by the cooler until we catch up.

Details:

– Meet at Sushi Yoshi at 10:45ish Sat morning. Come a bit earlier (10:00) if you plan to grab a Giant demo bike.

– Nate has generously offered us the Sushi Yoshi bus to stuff ourselves into until we reach clown-car capacity! We may need to take a couple other rigs. Once loaded we will shuttle up to a sweet spot close to the top of the Adam’s Camp section of the Stowe trail network.

– Then we’ll ride wicked singletrack to a remote and beautiful swimming hole (and cooler) before heading back up and over a mountain and eventually returning to Sushi Yoshi.

– Upon return we will retrieve vehicles and grab a cocktail before we race some tricycles for prizes!

More details about the entire event can be found at http://www.stowemountainbike.com

One note:
Stowe’s sweet trails have been built by volunteers. That said, the livelihood and sustainability of the singletrack requires money. Become a member of SMBC. It costs a couple 20 dollar bills but it pays off in spades.

B3 or bust!
