FTW Bike Raffle

You know that super sick hardtail you’ve always wanted?  The one with the short chainstays that slays tight VT singletrack, but that you can still rally on all day rides.  Yeah.  That one.  Well now’s your chance to get one, all while supporting a damn good cause.

The Stowe Trails Partnership, in collaboration with none other than bike building guru Frank the Welder, are raffling off a complete, custom, handmade FTW hardtail to one lucky winner.  Go ahead, read that again: Complete.  Custom.  And freakin’ hand made!  All proceeds from this raffle will go right back into rebuilding the trails at Cady Hill Forest.

As you may have heard, Stowe’s beloved Cady Hill Forest was caught in the crosshairs of an anomalous and highly destructive weather event this past October; well over sixty acres of forest were leveled, and several of Cady’s most beloved and iconic trails were suffocated beneath of sea of fallen timber.  Trails like Bear’s, Florence, Charlie’s and Cady Hill Climb all need significant amounts of work to either fully rebuild or undergo massive amounts of repair.

The good folks at the Stowe Trails Partnership, Town of Stowe, and Stowe Land Trust mustered the troops immediately to begin the long road to recovery.  Lucky for you, all you have to do to help is buy a few tickets and win yourself a new bike.

Winner chooses frame size and wheel size, and when this bad mofo is done, it’ll be decked out with an amalgamation of high-end bike bits like Industry Nine wheels, Deity cockpit, Maxxis tires and more.  Stay tuned to STP’s Facebook page for weekly updates as new parts are added to the build.

Tickets are $5 each, so go ahead buy a few thousand of them if you really want to cement your shot at this tailor-made dream bike.  The winner will be chosen at random at STP’s annual Spring Kickoff Party on Thursday, April 19.
