IdeRide Winter 6X event added to WinterBike festivities
WinterBike is expanding! Once the WinterBike group ride event was announced excitement built quickly. Chatter about the event spread from bike shops to Internet chat rooms and there was one common request:
“Can we get a lil’ more action?”
Well, ask and you shall receive. Kingdom Trails and Mountain Bike Vermont are proud to announce the addition of the IdeRide 6X, a six man snow-cross event designed by Vermont’s Freeride ambassador Knight Ide.
“I thought about a jump jam format but decided that I needed to create an event that was fresh, something I could get excited about.” Says Ide.
Well, that excitement is contagious. Pump your fists everyone because Ide and the Kingdom Trails crew have begun construction on a hair raising snowy roller coaster of a course.
Spectators and riders get ready because the IdeRide 6X is a reality!
Race Format:
On the day of the WinterBike festival at Kingdom Trails, we will be holding a single elimination race down Candy Bar Hill at the Kingdom Trails Nordic Center. Heats will consist of 4 to 6 riders. Top 2 finishers per heat will move on until an overall winner has been determined. There will be a minimum of $500 in cash prizes, plus additional sponsor supplied swag.
