It’s been a rough couple months.
I’ve been riding a lot but scrapped formal training in the name of staying fit and keeping sane as I work on my move. Right, yeah, so I’m moving to Oregon as soon as the house is sold.
Turns out I don’t really have any desire to be a realtor, own real estate or handle any transactions like this ever again. Or certainly for a good long while.
Riding has been a mix of road, gravel, and dirt on any number of possible bikes. My new long travel bike has been a ton of fun and my new training approach has been to get some intense, skill-focused trail time on that and then round out the aerobic work on the road bike.

And then afternoon:
In Vermont it’s either snowing or there’s road construction so as a result many of the main connecting roads have had miles of surface pavement removed. That means our dirt roads are often much smoother so as a result I’m spending much more time on them which is a great change of pace. So I’m mostly, kindof, almost on line and writing again.
I’ll be sure to include more details about what I’m riding, where I’m riding, and when I’m riding so we can be friends again.
