This weekend I had the pleasure of attending the annual Leaf Blower event held by the Stowe Mountain Bike Club. Autumn is a great time in VT. Add a day of mountain bike revelry replete with group rides, 175 good folks from home and abroad, tasty beverages, trail side Snickers Bar stashes, and a fantastic catered meal and you can’t lose. The Blower has blossomed into Vermont’s “must attend” fall event.
A huge thanks goes out to SMBC for their hospitality and clockwork efficiency. Well done all! The local riding scene feels strong and cohesive and your efforts in events like this galvanize our community. Thanks to the local business community that has begun to embrace mountain bikers. And most of all, thanks to all that made the pilgrimage to Stowe to share in a fantastic day with us!
