Trapp Family Lodge is open for the mountain bike season and the trails are drying off very quickly. We have used blowers, chainsaws and rakes to polish out most of our network and the dirt on the singletrack is dry and tacky!
The following trails are open; Chuck’s Corkscrew, Stepping Stone, Greenway, Lodge Spur, Luce Hill Loop and Tapline. These trails at higher elevation remain closed and are still probably a few weeks before opening; Kimmers, Hardy’s Haul, and the new trail (not named yet) above Old County Rd. All the ski trails are still wet and will take more time to open especially at higher elevation.
We have a total of 5 miles of singletrack and about 5 miles of double track rideable now, with more opening soon. Our shop is open 9-5 each day with mechanics and mountain bike coaches staffed and ready for coaching sessions. We have a large selection of Giant Demo bikes for rent and 2014 Giant models will arrive this week.
We are offering a special on season passes on Saturday May 3rd, only of $75.00 for individual or $150 for a family pass (a $25.00 savings on each pass) or a reduced daily rate of $5.00 to ride versus the normal $10 rate. We look forward to seeing you and other riders this week. Let’s launch off a great season and get ready to rip!
