Quick Shred: Rocky Mountain Slayer

Big bikes are fun.

After blasting around Highland I’ve been trying to ride as many bikes as possible to try to figure out exactly what kind of long travel bike I’d like to add to the stable.  Dave at Skier Shop offered up his tuned Rocky Mountain Slayer for me to take for a spin so Jon and I hit the Cady Hill trails with a Go Pro.

As a seasoned ultra-endurance racer I’ve developed a very smooth, efficient and really boring riding style.   The Slayer let me take some different and more aggressive lines…which still weren’t very aggressive.  Almost 7″ of travel, four piston hydraulic brakes and totally dialed suspension made for a really smooth, fun bike.

If you’re in the office you might want to make sure the sound is off.

If you’re at home go ahead and turn it up.
